The intuo platform allows you to give, receive and request feedback in a very intuitive manner. Feedback on the platform can come under three forms: Praise (a compliment), Feedback (constructive) and Requesting feedback. All three elements are meant to help a person grow and improve their skills.

Giving feedback

When you click on the 'Give Feedback' button under your avatar, you can either choose to 'Praise someone' or to 'Be constructive'.

Praise someone

The first thing here is to select who you would like to praise. You can type in the name of one of your co-workers. Secondly, you can set the visibility of the Praise you're sending out, to either the team of the person receiving the Praise or the whole company. Up next you can select a Type of Feedback, or 'Core Values'; these help you to structure your Praise. You can select as many as you'd like. The final and most important part is to write your message you want to bring across. Make sure you are very specific. Go beyond stating the facts and explain why this praise is important and how it has an impact on you and the team. Try to use a positive tone and put emphasis on effort and growth.

Be constructive

You can also give some constructive Feedback. Here goes the same flow as for Praising someone, only the visibility levels are different and more limited, since the content of constructive Feedback might be a bit more delicate.

Requesting feedback

You can request feedback by clicking on the Feedback tab and press the 'Request Feedback' in the top right corner. Again, the same flow goes as for giving Feedback, only the visibility is standard that only you and your teamleader will be able to see the feedback you received. Important to note is that you can also request feedback to externals. This means that you can request feedback to people who are not on the platform, e.g. your customers, partners, etc. You can just enter their email address and they will get a unique link to give you feedback!

Receiving feedback

Receiving feedback is not always easy, but keep in mind that it is not meant to criticise or to put people down. Its purpose is to help you grow and improve your skills
