Everything you need to have a proper view on how your students are doing and how they are performing, can be found under the manage tab (Learn > Manage). 

This tab is only visible for the admins and the teachers; only they should have access to activity in the learning and the detailed analytics of the courses.

 

OVERVIEW

In the overview tab you’ll find a wide range of information. 

  • The total users on the platform
  • Total experience points earned by all the users (the experience points are earned by completing steps in courses. Depending on the difficulty level (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Expert), the student will earn more or less experience points (1,2,3,4)
  • Total amount of badges earned

In the graph below, you have a visualised view of the skills earned on the platform. You can filter in team period (this week - this month - all time) and change the view to the total skill points earned or the average. By clicking on the skills on the right, you can activate or deactivate them in the graph.

When scrolling even further down, you see a leaderboard of all the students on the platform. Again you have several filters (time, student groups and skills). This gives you an idea who is performing well or who should put some more time and effort in learning on the platform.  

I the top right corner, you can download a CSV* file from the data available (*a CSV is a simple file format used to store tabular data, such as a spreadsheet or database. CSV stands for "comma-separated values". Files in the CSV format can be imported to and exported from programs that store data in tables, such as Microsoft Excel or OpenOffice Calc).

COURSES

In the courses tab you’ll see a list of all the courses on the platform and their stats. A green dot before a the name of a course indicates that it’s published, a grey dot indicates that you have yet to publish this course. You can see the number of enrolments, number of completions, the completion rate in percentage and the average progression rate. For every separated course, you can press the little cloud on the right end to download this information. When you click on a course in the list, you’ll find all the specifics about this course.

Manage students

Here you find a list of all the students enrolled in the course and how they are performing in the course.
Via the button in the top right corner ‘enrol existing user’, you can add other users to this course
If you select (a) student(s) and hit the ‘Actions’ button, you can:

  • Award these individuals a certificate (regardless of a course)
  • Send these people a message (you could personally congratulate them for example on how they are performing or inform them on a new course). The student will be notified of this message via e-mail
  • Set a deadline for when they have to complete this course
  • Remove the deadline
  • Remove the students from this course
  • Have an export CSV on the details about the performance of these students
  • Download all the certificates of this student/these students

 

 

Manage instructors

Here you simply see who the instructor is for this course. 

Course engagement

Here you will be able to see how engaged your students were with your course

  • For the videos in this course, you’ll see a video engagement graph. This allows you to view how the audience as a whole has viewed your content. You can see over time when people stopped watching the video and where you lost the attention of the viewers. This might be an indication to make your video more attractive (or engaging) at this point.
  • For the questions in this course, you can see the distribution in attempts. Here you could conclude if some questions were maybe too easy or too hard. It gives you great insights on how you’ve built your test. 
  • For the slides you can see how long the students took on average to look at one slide. Here you can conclude which slides were less or more important and can adjust accordingly. 
  • For the text elements in your course, you can see how long it took on average for the students to read the texts. 

In overall from this course engagement you can learn a lot. You can draw conclusions for the quality of your course and adjust accordingly for the next course you’re building! 

Student statistics

Here you can find in-depth information on every individual student about this course. On the left you can see the name of the student and their corresponding performance on the same line. 

Video icon:

  • Green: watched completely
  • Red: not watched completely
  • Quiz icon
  • Blue: completed the quiz (regardless if they did good or bad). When you click on this icon, you can see their answers on their questions and how well they performed
  • You can grant them new tries to retry the quiz if they used up all their attempts to complete the quiz. 

PDF icon:

  • Green icon: watched
  • Grey icon: skipped

Text icon:

  • Green icon: read
  • Grey icon: skipped

You can even look more in-depth for every person. Just click on their name to see how they’ve behaved around every step (video, text, quiz,..). 

  • Video: you’ll see how long they’ve watched the video (in %). The view bar turns yellow for the parts they’ve watched. If in between there are white parts, this indicates that they’ve skipped certain parts of the video. Spaces that are coloured darker yellow, indicates that the students rewatched this certain part of the video. This could show that this specific part was too difficult for the student. 
  • Quiz: you can see this individual's attempts distribution for every question separately. 
  • PDF: you can see how long this individual viewed each individual slide
  • Text: you can see how long this individual took to read this text

Here you have access to all the extra material that was uploaded in the course via the download library that was meant for the instructor. 

Rating

Here you can find your users' rating for the course.

TRACKS

In the Tracks tab you’ll see a list of all the tracks on the platform and their stats. CERTIFICATES

In the Certificates tab, you'll have a view on all the certificates that have been awarded and their expiry date etc. You can always download a report on the certificates distribution via the 'Download CSV' button in the top right corner. 

When you click on a certificate you can see which users have been awarded this certificate.
